OZONE THERAPY
Ozone is a colorless gas with a distinctive odor.
Ozone was discovered in 1840 by German chemist Christian Friedrich Schönbein (1799-1868).
Ozone occurs naturally in the stratosphere layer of the atmosphere and protects the Earth from harmful UV rays, enabling life on Earth.
Ozone was used successfully in wound treatment during World War I. Later, ozone was administered rectally for proctitis, colitis, and fistulas (intestinal diseases). H. Wolf introduced extracorporeal blood treatment (major autohemotherapy) into medical practice in 1968. In the 1970s, Rokitansky performed local and systemic treatment for diabetic gangrene and arterial circulation disorders. Between 1987 and 1989, ozone was administered via intra-articular injection as a supportive treatment for gonarthrosis (knee osteoarthritis) and rheumatoid arthritis. Today, ozone therapy is used in rheumatic diseases, neurological diseases, circulatory disorders, liver diseases, digestive system diseases, infectious diseases, and dentistry.
Ozone positively affects and even improves many pathological conditions.
As a rule, medical ozone is used in addition to other treatment methods and belongs to the field of complementary medicine.
Everyone agrees that medical ozone is safe, practical, effective, and inexpensive as a preventive measure when administered correctly and responsibly, and when the correct indications are determined. However, it cannot be guaranteed 100% that ozone therapy will provide a complete solution to the problem it is applied to.
Success depends on the patient's health status, the frequency of ozone therapy, the dose and ozone concentration applied, and a number of other factors.
Never forget that a small precaution can save you from a much more expensive and time-consuming treatment.
Ozone therapy carries minimal risk.
Ozone therapy generally plays a complementary role.
Ozone therapy can be administered alongside physical therapy.
Ozone therapy is much more effective when performed in conjunction with neural therapy. In Germany, it is common practice to use ozone therapy together with neural therapy.
